What is Drupal?
Drupal allows an individual or a community of users to easily create, publish, manage and organize a wide variety of different content on a website. With its high functionality and multiple add-on modules and design options available, Drupal can be customized to suit almost every purpose. Tens of thousands of people and organizations are using Drupal as their primary web solution is a free open source software package distributed under the GNU General Public License. Drupal is continuously maintained, developed and improved by an active community of thousands of users and developers, who contribute to the common cause in an attempt to make Drupal keep up with the latest technologies, functionalities and preferences.
Drupal offers a possibility to build and manage large variety of internal or external websites fast by utilizing ready-made or custom configurations. Combined with its easy-to-use web interface and extreme flexibility in terms of user accounts, roles and permissions, Drupal is highly approachable both to personal and enterprise level usage. Let the imagination and inspiration be the limit when creating anything from usable and interactive experiences to functional search engine connections, community websites and social networking integration.
Drupal also enables different levels of social publishing – with limitations set only by the administrator(s). The questions of Who, What, When and How can easily be approached by determining who can publish content like comments, media files, photos and so on and in what terms. This info can always be controlled, managed and altered if need be.
