Two African startups working to disrupt the education industry has announced a partnership. Beni American University (BAU) wants to build West Africa’s first Hybrid / Online University that will not be limited by gender, location, access, finance, time or age. usePULSE on the other hand wants to re-imagine education by introducing technological solutions to flip traditional learning.
Beni American University (BAU) has signed a two year partnership with usePULSE to supply its university students with low-cost PULSE Android tablets starting fall 2012. The touch screen tablets will be used by Beni American University students (BAU) to conveniently access its web/mobile based learning resources. The patnership is a good fit and we are excited at the prospects of what will be achieved by this patnership.
It sure hasn’t been too long since BAU put out word
BAU offers us the opportunity to play a major part in the evolution of African learning. We are fulfilling our mission here and to us it is just that simple. Beni American University is an excellent opportunity for usePULSE to offer our knowledge base and resources to demonstrate our growing presence in the educational sphere in African Universities. – Leslie Tita, CEO of PULSE.
Two of our team members from oTeKbits, @JesseOguns and @NubiKayode, recently concluded the test run of the BAU experience, and it was a positive one. No doubt that lessons from Student Circles, as well as partners such as Pulse, will make BAU another success story, but more important a much awaited disruption in the Education industry.
