Collaboration between two tech giants can indeed produce exciting results. That’s what BlackBerry and Oracle are doing with the Mobile Apps Challenge holding in South Africa. In this program, local developers are encouraged to come up with mobile business solutions that can help customers in their quest to increase productivity and maximize the potential of their mobile workforce.
During the mobile apps challenge, developers would be tasked with the development of enterprise apps that can work seamlessly with the current Oracle ERP stack, running on the BB10 platform or on the Oracle Mobile Application Development Framework. BlackBerry also plans to hold another of its eagerly awaited jam days in conjunction with Oracle. This would afford developers the opportunity to try out their development tool sets, brainstorm with the experts, and network with fellow developers. They would also be exposed to news of some of the most recent developments on both platforms.
