This video shows a demo online store using Spree e-commerce integrated with MiMo for payments.
The vid’s not very entertaining — could have done with a soundtrack at least — but it is mercifully short, and it does convey the general idea of how MiMo handles the payment process on a live e-commmerce deployment. After watching, I was like “hey, look mom…no credit cards!”.
In November 2012, MiMo announced an Alpha release of their mobile money and payments API to developers in PHP, C#, Java, Objective-C, and Node.js. We’ve also learnt that they have completed integrations with Magento and WordPress. The source code is public and free for download on Github.
