HootSuite has decided to remove Ping.fm integration as of June 8, 2012; for reason that needs of HootSuite community members evolve, so does the HootSuite dashboard.
This means that if you are using Ping.fm in HootSuite, your Ping.fm profile will stop working on June 8, including any auto-posting or scheduled posts, so plan accordingly.
Ping.fm has been a part of the HootSuite dashboard since its inception in 2009. You can read more about that here.
Although it’s goodbye to Ping.fm, efforts have been made to provide you with the best tools to manage your social networks, and you now have the ability to connect a wide range of apps to your HootSuite dashboard such as Tumblr, MailChimp, Get Satisfaction, YouTube, Flickr and Digg — just to name a few.
In fact, bookmarking the Hootsuite App Directory is a great way to stay up-to-date on the newest app releases.
