Do you know that you can now save your Gmail messages in Google Docs and then edit them like any other document? Yes, this is now very possible. And once this is achieved, exporting that email as a PDF file or as a Word document is as easy as A,B,C. To make it more interesting, you will be able to retain the original formatting and you don’t need an external PDF writer to achieve this.
If this interests you and ready to integrate Google Docs with your Gmail, go to the Labs page and enable the “Create a Document” gadget. Save the changes and return to your Gmail Inbox. Once this is done, open any of your existing email messages and look for the “Create a Document” link under the More box as shown in the screenshot above. Clicking the link will export the current message as a new document in Google Docs. The rich text formatting is preserved. However, Google doc will ignore any file attachments in your email message.
If you are using Android device, you also have the opportunity to take your document with you offline. The Google Docs app for Android allows offline access to your documents any time. So, once you have saved your most important Gmail messages in Google Docs, they can be accessed on your phone without a data connection as well.
So, try it out and let us have your feedback 🙂
