Afrihub, an organisation established in May 2004 to provide human capacity building technologies has just announced its international ICT scholarship. AfriHUB is a wholly owned subsidiary of ACE and Associates, which is based in the US, and which has plans to provide similar services throughout Africa.
To execute its programme in Nigeria, AfriHUB has entered into Public Private Partnerships (“PPPs”) with universities throughout Nigeria for the establishment and operation of world-class ICT Parks on university campuses. Each ICT Park consists of a world-class cyber center with at least 200 computers, four or more fully-equipped state-of-the-art classrooms for instructor-led technical training, and wireless distribution capability to support future “on and near” campus growth, including cyber/calling centers, training rooms and campus backbone.
