If you have ever wondered what impact social media and the internet have on education, you are not alone. Passnownow has announced a 750-word article competition, titled The Impact of Social Media and Internet on Nigeria’s Education today; Positive or Negative, for Lagos State Secondary School Students. The competition opened on Tuesday, 18th September, 2012 and will close on Tuesday, 13th November, 2012 at midnight.
PassNowNow is Nigeria’s first social interaction and education focused platform that employs contemporary solutions and innovation to teach, engage, entertain and empower young people – using television, radio and the internet as channels of delivery.
How To Enter
To participate, send a 750-word article (on the topic stated above) with your name, date of birth, class, school, contact number of one of your parents and contact number of a teacher in your school (by email) to info@passnownow.com on or before the stated deadline dates. Entries received afterwards will not be considered for screening.
Who Can Enter
The PassNowNow independence creative writing competition is open to students in both public and private schools from JSS 1 – SSS 3.
Please note that all entries must be submitted online via the internet and they will be thoroughly screened for validation. Any entry ascertained to have false or misleading information will be disqualified immediately even if the author has reached the final stages of the competition. Winners will be unveiled, presented with their prizes and decorated by top Nigerian dignitaries at the mega launch event of passnownow holding in Lagos this year.
