W.TEC Girls Technology Camp 2013, August 11 – 24

What guys can do, ladies can do better. Or at least that’s what W.TEC wants to prove. Knowing that knowledge is key in technology, W.TEC is hosting a Girls Technology Camp to empower girls with technology knowledge in a two week technology education and mentoring programme. The objective is to help girls develop an early interest in computers and other information technology tools.

For the camp duration, the girls will participate in technology workshops. The long-term goal is to increase the number of Nigerian women using technology productively for learning, professional and leadership activities. The camp is open to secondary school students and workshops will include graphic design, movie making, web design and introduction to programming.
