- Developing Games for New Symbian Devices with Symbian C++: This will take place on May 31st, 2011 and the time is 9am PST (12pm EST). In this session, Forum Nokia´s Mika Pesonen will provide an overview of developing games for Nokia´s new Symbian devices, and the challenges involved when creating 3D graphics. A game example will be presented, with topics including audio playback and mixing, OpenGL ES 2.0 rendering, touch with two-finger input, keypad input, sensor input, haptic feedback and icon creation. - Developing a Casual Game with Qt Quick (scheduled for June 2nd, 2011 at 9am PST): In this seminar, Roland Krause explains how ICS built a casual game using Qt Quick and QML. It will be shown how the QML game implementation was augmented with a C++ back-end to allow loading of levels, sound implementation, and touch screen interaction. Additionally, a detailed demonstration of how to use the new in-app purchasing libraries for monetizing developer efforts will be shown. - Developing Games for S40 with Java – June 15th, 2011 at 9am PST: In this webinar, Futurice’s team leader Riku Valtasola, together with his team´s Java developers and a graphic designer, describe how three example games were implemented for Nokia´s Series 40 devices, the challenges they faced, and what they did to overcome those obstacles. The main focus will be on the Nokia X3 Touch & Type, but the session will also include scalable games that support devices with less resources and different screen sizes.
