CcHUB and ThoughtWorks are pleased to invite you to a one-day training session on Ruby on Rails.
Ruby on Rails is an open-source web framework that is optimized for programmer happiness and sustainable productivity. It let you write beautiful code by favouring convention over configuration. Rails is a full-stack framework, meaning that it gives the Web developer the full ability to gather information from the web server, talking to or querying the database, and template rendering out of the box.
As a result, Rails features a routing system that is independent of the Web server. Basecamp, Twitter, git-hub and Groupon are some of the killer web applications done with Ruby on Rails. Resource Persons, Patrick Turley and Craig Wattrus from ThoughtWorks will be handling this training.
The aim of the training is to enable serious Nigerian developers get the hang of the framework/language and to build their first Ruby on Rails web application.
