Nigeria: Dataflex Takes Customers To Cloud

Google Apps are cool, and the Cloud Kit is cooler. Cloud computing has gone from being just a buzz word to being an actual service offered in this part of the world. If memory serves me right, Descasio is the first I came across on the web offering to improve business operations by leveraging cloud technologies. Although solely based on Google Apps, it’s grown to have a reach covering Nigeria and West African Countries.

Dataflex, one of Nigeria’s foremost Information Technology Companies, joins the league of company offering cloud computing technology to its client. Cloud computing is the delivery of computing as a service rather than a product, whereby shared resources, software, and information are provided to computers and other devices as a metered service over a network; definitely worth adding to the list services for a company like Dataflex.

The new technology provides computation, software, data access, and storage resources without requiring cloud users to know the location and other details of the computing infrastructure. According to the firm, it would enable businesses achieve rapid service delivery, as it adds computing power in support of IT and business services more quickly than would be possible with today’s computing infrastructure. Speaking at the company’s management retreat, Andy Nwani, managing director, Dataflex said: ‘We at Dataflex believe that it is the key to future development and would provoke a certain level of Cultural change’.
