Microsoft is celebrating 20 years of doing business on the African Continent. There is an African proverb which says, “The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. Microsoft is set to launch 4Afrika initiative that will focus on:

- Infrastructure
The initiative will help Africa, and especially Nigeria, to build and scale new businesses, improve employability and wealth creation, and increase African competitiveness in the global market.
The initiative, 4Afrika, will be launched on the 5th of February, 2013 across Africa, and this event is strictly for developer’s, post-4Arika launch, to get you acquainted with what Microsoft will do in Nigeria, and to give you a quick refresher on what you need to improve your skills to a world-class level.

After about two decades of opening its first subsidiary in Africa, Microsoft is seeking to further deepen its commitment and belief in the continent. Through the 4Afrika initiative, Microsoft aims to partner closely with governments, businesses, youth, and non-governmental organizations across the continent to empower citizens through technology.
