Mainone Cable has been supporting Co-creation Hub [CCHub] since inception. They have been providing internet to the hub free of charge since Inception and only now they have gone ahead to boost the speed. It is such a huge cost that they have decided to offset. Mainone isn’t a government company, it is a private company. This further drives home the point that you don’t have to wait for the government as a startup before you start creating a world changing solution.
This is an Ecosytem that Mainone is helping to build here. There are people who have started tapping into this already and progress is being made. CChub has also gotten support from other companies who have seen the growth and the contribution of CChub to the community.
We are seeing more and more people who have stepped up to the challenge to support CChub. In a piece during my first visit to the CChub, I metion what nay sayers were saying about the initiative called CChub, a few folks where of the opinion that this is another invention that is bound to fail. Seven months plus down the road, it has not failed, but it has grown from strength to strength.
Bosun Tijani, one of the founder of Co-creation Hub has this to say; “On behalf of the community, I’d like to express our deepest gratitude to MainOne Cable Company for the enormous investment in the community. MainOne’s role is exemplary and most importantly enabling the dreams of a growing community of progressives building the next generation enterprises in Nigeria.”
No doubt we should be seeing more companies coming forward to support innovative projects that are aimed at building talents and creating solution to social problems in Nigeria.
