Learning By Doing: Growth Academy’s Final Call For Developers

A wise person once said, “Experience is the best teacher, provided it is not your own”. This, in my mind, could not hold truer. The wisdom gleaned for centuries is what makes new concepts stand today. I wonder how many of us, sitting under an apple tree would have been able to conceive the Law of Gravity, or discovered the Eureka moment while wallowing in a bath tub?

If you are working on a startup and have not applied for the Growth Academy, I wonder what you are waiting for. Maybe to discover gravity on your own? Imagine how long that will take, maybe 10, 20, 50 years!  There are startup principles that have been researched, implemented and refined by Steve Blank, Alex Osterwalder, Eric Ries etc that are being used today by multiple people and found to work. It is not enough to follow these people on twitter, or read their blogs. You need to learn by doing.

If you happen to be in the quagmire of not having a technical person on your team, I suggest you apply and look for someone who can fit that role, even if they don’t have all the skills yet. There will be expert full hands on training given during the academy that can get you where you need to be technically.

For us, what we thought was a feature has turned out to be the strongest point of our startup, and we couldn’t be happier to yell pivot. We are back to product development the right way, by doing customer development and validating assumptions.

If you see yourself being successful with your startup in the next few years, then this is a great place to start. Learn by doing in the Growth Academy. Join Now
