iPAD 3, Out March 7th?

Many people have speculated the release Ipad 3 and many people lncluding me wait earnestly to see how the device would mesmerize the IT world. At the moment it can’t be said as to what this device would entail. Of recent i read in some quaters, it would contain USB ports and would be able to hook up to fast data networks like the LTE apart from it to be faster than the IPAD2 and more sleek. Other give aways that IPAD 3 might be unvalied next week includes the price slash of IPAD2.

In keeping with Apple’s secretive traditions, the invite for the March 7 event at Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts in San Francisco does not specify what is being unveiled.

But the invite shows a finger tapping the calendar icon on an iPad with the tagline ‘We have something you really have to see. And touch.’

Apple used the same venue to unveil the iPad 2 last March and typically updates its major products annually.

If the iPad 3 is unveiled next week it will mark the first product launch since the death of Apple co-founder and former chief executive Steve Jobs last October.

Tim Cook, Apple chief executive, unveiled the iPhone 4S at a low-key event the day before Mr Jobs died.

The company has sold 55 million iPads since its first version launched in 2010, with Mr Cook recently claiming he expected the tablet market to overtake PCs.

The iPad 2 was twice as fast and 33 per cent thinner than the original iPad, with iPad 3 expected to launch with faster hardware and a vastly improved screen resolution.
