BAU, Beni American University, Partners with a College in Atlanta

The young Nigerian, Gossy Ukanwoke, who created Students Circle, spoke to us about a project he’s working on which is focused on disrupting education in Nigeria and Africa. He has been hard at work raising the funds that will set the ball rolling.

They have recently made one more giant stride, signing a partnership agreement with Centre for Entrepreneurship, Atlanta Metropolitan State College.

Of what benefit is this for the school?

This is my first time hearing about Atlanta Metropolitan College, but they have a mission. The Atlanta Metropolitan State College Centre for Entrepreneurship (AMSCCE) is a resource centre for entrepreneurs and their mission is to provide existing and budding entrepreneurs with the tools and skills needs to successfully establish, operate and nurture a business for growth.

Since part of the program that BAU will be offering will include helping entrepreneurs to start and build an idea, this partnership is a strategic one. Gossy, the founder of BAU, has this to say;

 Atlanta Metropolitan College is an accredited U.S. institution that will be taking in our students. Secondly, they will be providing our students with programs that will tansform the students to entrepreneurs. BAU students will get same opportunities they give their excutive program accelerator programs, which means the BAU students will have demo days and investors will come take a look at student projects.

The program will ensure that BAU students would be offered a twelve-week Business Accelerator package which includes seminars in Idea development, Entrepreneurial Excellence, Concept Paper, Pitch Competitions and much more. The students would also be beneficiaries of a Mentoring Program from AMSCCE.

With this I can see BAU adding more to its Arsenal and they are pushing the project out in full force. Not too long they announced a partnership with usePULSE, that will give their students access to low cost usePULSE Android tablets. The students are getting these tablets for free.

You may want to check out BAU and see if you can take advantage of their exciting offers.
