Google announced today the launch of “Merchant Sales Reporting” on its Android market as part of its ongoing efforts to provide better tools to help developers manage their business. According to the post on the Android Developers blog, developers can now have convenient access to monthly reports that detail the financial performance of their applications directly from the Android Market Developer Console.
These reports provide per-transaction details including additional information such as device information, currency of sale, and currency conversion rate. Developers will be able to easily download these reports as a CSV (comma-separated values) files to enable further analysis at their convenience.
However, developers only have access to merchant sales reports for March 2011 from the Developer Console. Reports for months going back to January 2010 will be available in the coming weeks. Moving forward, sales reports for each month will be available by the 10th day of the following month.
