iROKING is the Nigerian premium music streaming platform belonging to the iROKO Partners, the owners of Nolywoodlove on YouTube, that is now available on their own channel on the web; iROKO TV.
It is available on the web and mobile. It allows you to stream music over 3G or Wifi on your mobile. It also claims to have an offline option for listening to music on mobile. [I did not get that to work for me on my mobile]
They have released mobile app on Android, iPhone and Windows Phone. There was no news on a support for Symbian–my beloved Symbian.
I use a Nokia N8 that is running Symbian. I got a tip from a friend on Twitter that the app is now available. He gave me a link to a non-Nigerian website where they were sharing the information about the app with users of Nokia phone running Symbian OS. I went to the Nokia Store and found that the Software is available for download for free; it is a 1.4MB file.
If you’d like to sample the file, go to Nokia Store and download the app. I know it is supported on Symbian running Nokia belle, like the Nokia N8, Nokia E7 and some other Nokia Symbian touch screen phones. Let me know if you’re able to download it and what Nokia phone you use.
I am sampling the app and I have my few first impressions. I will be sharing it with you just the way I shared my experience on the Spinlet music app too.
