Editor Note: It’s good to have start-ups spring up, but more important to make them grow and become sustainable. Perhaps, why some effort should be put in providing resource and platforms focused on growing start-ups into companies (I think the word for that is ‘Incubator’). That’s why I was excited when a participant of the Growth Academy Program contacted me about this new initiative.
Nokia and Co-Creation Hub Nigeria have teamed up to create the Nokia/CcHUB Growth Academy Program – a three (3) months intensive program, to equip early stage start-ups and innovative business ideas and businesses with skills, resources, channels to market, platforms and expertise in a bid to accelerate and grow their development as businesses with major economic potential.
A number of start-ups have already been selected, and will have representatives attend the maiden edition of the Growth Academy, which is scheduled to hold from May 14 2012 and July 31, 2012 at the Co-creation Hub (CcHUB), 6th Floor, 294 Herbert Macaulay Way, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos.
The Growth Academy presents a great opportunity to grow and thus participants should be fully committed to their ventures/start-ups and commit time, energy and resources during the program to make it work. On Friday May 11, 2012 by 5.30pm, there will be a social and networking gathering for Growth Academy participants at the CcHUB.
