Tech startups, especially cool popular ones like Buffer, are bound to receive a lot of entries of job offers, even from people that don’t know about or use the products or services that is offered. Perhaps why I am very impressed as to how Buffer took to hiring via the logo on the landing page.
Instead of posting the openings on job listing sites, sending out press releases, or other traditional ways which attracts cumbersome amounts of job applications, the adopted way makes sure all entries are made from Buffer users, so you have to be a fan to get a job.
Current openings include:
Front-End Hacker – Looking for a frontend hacker that’s comfortable working with javascript, on front-end development for the web dashboard and backend on the API.
Back-End Hacker – Looking for a backend hacker that’s comfortable working building RESTful APIs, managing databases, and optimizing response time for the API.
The third opening for Social Media Manager a.ka. ‘Happiness Hero‘ seem to have been taken down.
