Nokia yesterday introduced the Lumia 1020, a Windows Phone 8 with 41 Mega Pixel camera that is the biggest revolution in smartphone imaging technology. Alongside the introduction, Nokia also launched an international developer’s hacking competition, #NokiaFuture, which will give developers a chance to be among those to use the new device and fly to the event finals in Lund, Sweden.
The Challenge
With the new Lumia 1020, Nokia has changed the way people take and share pictures on their smartphones. Now, they want developers to push the limits by thinking outside the box and creating apps worthy of the phone’s unique capabilities.
The Chosen Ones
Nokia will be flying the creators of the ten best ideas to an exclusive Hackathon in Lund, Sweden, to code alongside some of Nokia’s experts.
Prize to be Won
The winner of the Hackathon will get a Nokia Lumia 1020 and a trip with VIP treatment to an upcoming Nokia event, where the creation will also be showcased. The app will be promoted via several online Nokia channels, as well as on Windows Phone Store.
The 1st and 2nd runners-up will get a Nokia Lumia 1020 and their creation will be showcased at a Nokia event.
