Siri is Apple’s wonder boy or girl. Siri is a feature that was debuted in iPhone4s that allows you use your voice to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, and more. Ask Siri to do things just by talking the way you talk. Cool, right?
As cool as that might sound, I don’t think it is as cool as this — a Google Glass.
Do you think this is a joke? I bet it is not. Google is currently having some test units with some folks that will be testing it in real life. The New York Times once wrote about it in February 2012. In the article, the writer compared how this experience will look as odd as how the Bluetooth headset were when they were first spotted in the public.
This is augmented reality at a very high level. I can’t wait to experience it myself. The Google Glass is going to be powered by Android—sorry those condemning Android.
When this innovation eventually becomes commonplace, how do you think it will affect us? Smartphones are already making more people talk less and text more, people walk into poles while tweeting in the public, some evem text or tweet while driving. As cool as it is, will you want one? For me, if you ask me to choose between Siri and the Google Glass, I will take Google Glass hundred times over. How about you?
