Tiketmobile Goes Live With Sales Of Interstate Bus Tickets To Any Mobile Device

So we just got word from Tiketmobile about the launch of it’s flagship product. If you have not come across the name before now, Tiketmobile lets travelers find and buy bus tickets conveniently from their mobile devices.

Tiketmobile was first conceived and built at Start-up Weekend Lagos in September 2011. Between then and now, it has been iterated a number of times in terms of platform, strategy and offering. Currently, to buy tickets on Tiketmobile, a user would have to access it from the mobile website, tiketmobile.com. If the user is visiting from a mobile phone, they are automatically redirected there.

Tiketmobile has one bus company listed and is currently in talks with up to five other companies, got hopes to sign-up all providers of interstate bus transport. Announcements will be pushed to the startup’s blog.

To enable payment, Tiketmobile works closely with Interswitch to integrate their “Pay with QuickTeller”. This allows users to pay for their tickets on Tiketmobile website using their ATM card; and also from any of the hundreds of thousand Interswitch ATM machines nationwide. Payment on Tiketmobile’s website is also handled by Interswitch, so your information – such as card details and pin are in safe hands.
