#SMWLagos Recap: The Techie, The Activist, And The Minister [FINALE]

The Social Media Week has come to an end, and the whole week of events saw the birth of some Startups and also visits of people from Fashion, Technology, Government, Banking, Entertainments etc.

My Day 5, and final day of the Social Media Week, was at the E-learning center, where EiENigeria hosted the Technology in Governance. The day started with a standing ovation for the organizers of Social Media Week, as called by Tubosun, Co-Founder of Co-Creation hub and he was the anchorperson for the program.

Yemi Ademolekun, Executive Director of EiENigeria took the stage and took us on a the EiE- journey with a video that captured the readiness of people standing for change. She also used that opportunity to showcase some of the projects been worked on in the area of e-Government in Nigeria, including iPolice, iWatch, Budgit, ReVoDa, etc.

The Honorable Minister for Information and Communication Technology, Mrs Mobolaji Johnson took the stage afterwards to explain steps the government is taking to make e-Government possible in Nigeria, as well as efforts the government is making to raise fund for developers and innovation centers like the Co-Creation hub. She also mentioned plans for the Federal government to collaborate with State government in delivering the expectation of Nigerians.
