If you’re an MTN subscriber in Kano and Kaduna, this should concern you.
In a series of messages from its official Twitter account, and on Facebook, MTN Nigeria has announced that they will be closing their service centers in Kano and Kaduna states on Monday 24th, Thursday 27th, and Friday 28th.
The message cited recent insurgent attacks on MTN facilities as the reason for the temporary closures.
The company also apologised in advance for any network quality degradation that might occur during that period, as they anticipate that the security situation might also interfere with scheduled maintenance activities.
Since the second half of 2012, telcos have experienced episodes of insurgent vandalism on their service centers and the sites of their technical facilities in the Northern part of Nigeria, leading to severe mobile communications outages in the affected areas.
