Just when we thought the 2012 e-commerce calender is closed, Rocket Internet unveils an online auction marketplace – Kaymu, to add to its e-commerce clone portfolio in Nigeria including: Kasuwa and Sabunta, now consolidated as Jumia, and HelloFood.
Kaymu is a place where visitors can buy, bid, and sell items from a range products including – clothes, shoes, gadgets, books. If you are ever conversant with eBay, then it would not be hard getting a hang of Kaymu.
For seller, you could either list an item for auction or at a fixed price, and there is a third option of running classified ad which is most suitable for car and real estate sales.
And if you on Kaymu to buy, then you get to see something similar to what’s below, showing categories of item that are up for bidding, and sales at a fixed price.
