DevParapo: Funding Tech Innovation,Where Are The Investment-Ready Ventures? [EVENT]

Funding has been heralded as the single biggest challenge facing today’s entrepreneurs especially in Africa. While in many cases this may be the scenario, for technology businesses, the state of the ecosystem indicates otherwise. There seems to be more investment chasing few investment-ready ventures. Rudimentary economics however teaches that cash/ investments will only go to where it will secure the highest returns.

OTEKBITS will be tweeting with hashtag #devparapo.

The CcHUB Pre-incubation services which has over the past 18 months provided support to early-stage ideas through mentorship, access to a comfortable work environment, funding and a mobile testing lab clearly disagrees with the funding problem. Clear indication also backs up our position seeing as very few start-ups/ tech businesses have been able to attract funding from local/ foreign investors. If this is the case, it begs the question, where are the investment-ready vehicles? Perhaps the answer lies in the pipeline of solutions/ businesses being created by entrepreneurs in this market.

Although tickets are already sold out, do join us at February’s edition of Developers Parapo as Eric Idiahi and Verod Capital Management Limited team (investors in Spinlet) share thoughts on what it takes for tech entrepreneurs to attract investors. We will also shed more light on CcHUB’s Pre-Incubation services and how aspiring inventors/ tech entrepreneurs can get support through our programs.

The event will also serve to announce “The Verod/CcHUB Equity Fund”- a partnership between Verod Capital and CcHUB to boost local tech innovation in Nigeria.Details are as follows:
