During the opening keynote at WWDC 2012, Apple CEO Tim Cook happily noted that the App Store would be expanding to several new countries this month.
Today,9to5Mac notes that Tim has delivered on his promise, with the App Store having officially launched in 32 additional regions worldwide. The App Store is now accessible in 155 countries and territories worldwide.
Apple sent an email to members of its Developer Program to inform developers of these changes, and existing apps can be sold in the new stores once developers agree to revised iTunes Connect sales contracts. The new regions, which are predominantly located across Africa, Europe and Asia, are listed below.
The App Store has immediately gone live in these new regions: Albania, Benin, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cape Verde, Chad, Congo, Fiji, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Krygyzstan, Laos, Liberia, Malawi, Mauritania, Micronesia, Mongolia, Mozambique, Namibia, Nepal, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Sao Tome e Principe, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Swaziland, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Zimbabwe.
