MALIYO Games Go Live And Social Too

About three months ago, it started out as a conversation over drinks at the g-Nigeria event, and yesterday, these ideas were showcased as product at the monthly Developer Parapo at the Co-Creation Hub.

MALIYO Games is a Nigerian company, which shares the experiences of everyday Africans with a global audience through games. MALIYO creates casual browser games with African Themes, Narratives, Environments, Characters and Sound. Operating out of Co-creation Hub, MALIYO is pioneering casual gaming, designed to be localised, fun, engaging and entertaining.

The website is now live and allows anyone play all of the six games rolled out at launch including: Aboki, Class Fight, Mosquito Smasher, Kidnapped, Football Goalies, Okada Ride. So there’s something for everyone from adventure to sports.

Social feature is pretty important for the games to get a good rate of adoption, that’s why the launch came with the official Twitter handle – @MALIYOGames and Facebook Page. During launch, Hugo (Co-Founder) did showcase a feature that allows users play the games right from the Facebook timeline, which is pretty cool, as one can just pin down the games and play whenever; but it won’t be available until next week.

In the mean time, check out the 6 games, and as folks at MALIYO believe, join in sharing the experiences of everyday Africans with a global audience.
