Working with 3G tablet is entirely a unique experience. But the question is whether the Tablet can replace the Notebook? A straight forward answer won’t suffice. By the end of the article you will able to distinguish between the two very easily. It is just that new technologies are introduced the market quiet often but we still love few old habits.

The Tablet PC and its touch are quite interesting when you get used to it, but a Tablet PC will never replace a well-designed Notebook. The important point to mention here is that the Notebook still retains functions which Tablets cannot.

Reasons:
  1. The keyboard is incorporated into a laptop, while the tablet has an external or soft touch. Typing on a tablet will never be the same as on a Notebook. On a tablet, the keyboard takes up screen space but the feel would never be the same as real keys. Also your fingers get in the way of other things on a tablet, unlike a touchpad on a Notebook. For a more absolute Windows experience, Notebook is the best choice.
  2. You need a special stand for the tablet otherwise you have to hold the screen at the right angle to work with it. On the contrary the size and weight of the Notebook are just right, and it has the physical keyboard. The Notebook is economical, it is the first choice when one may want to seize a computer and take it on the road.
Tablets are just like Toys:

Tablets aim to directly compete against Notebooks. The iPad is the major tablet on the market today. New tablets like Samsung Galaxy Tab are fast and responsive. You can use a Tablet very flexibly. Tablets are handy. Tablets, like the Galaxy Tab, can function as a phone if needed. Apple iPad sets the speed with its fast touch screen that others will have to match up to. Tablets are focused on delivering amusement.

Tablets diverge in size but are generally very dense. The Galaxy Tab is being advertised as small enough to fit in a purse or a back pocket while being big enough to enjoy video media. It is believed that tablets are expensive because except from media and games, not much can be done on tablets. It wouldn’t be a good idea to run heavy photo editing software on a tablet.

Conclusion:

So it is tough to comment on the superiority of one over the other. The decision is based on the extent of your needs. When compared with tablets, Notebooks are workhorses that have the processing power and a broad range of built-in functionality to implement a number of various functions and tasks.

On the other side, tablets are suitable for tasks that have simple concrete and visual requirements, so they are fine for Internet browsing and movie watching. Nonetheless, tablets are ahead in popularity. It consequently means that there is an enticement for tablet manufacturers to develop their potential and functionality and to offer feasible substitutes for the severe laptop user.
