After series of review by the jury, Nokia West Africa has just announced the winner. According to the information made available to us yesterday, Friday, 03 February 2012, West African developers were one of the most active in participating in the competition.

The competition jury has thus selected the following TOP3 winners:

MyCash by teXs, will receive a prize of 5000 USD and all the 3 finalist will be sponsored to go to Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona! We believe that this will also encourage other developers to roll out apps that solve immediate human needs.

What is MyCash?

MyCash was one of the 9 startups launched in May 2011 at Garage48 event in Lagos, Nigeria. The application was also pitched to investors at Mobile Monday’s Pitch Monday in July 2011.  MyCash is an avenue for you to keep track of how much is going out of your pocket at a granular level. The application lets you find information concerning purchases of goods that you already made. It also enables you to get direct and factual information without too much speculation concerning a purchase you intend making.
